Business owner delighted that the sewage was cleaned up.

What a disaster! A local business owner went in to work and found their basement was flooded from a sewage backup. The backup was caused by grease being poured down the drains with no grease trap. The grease clogged the pipes and backed up into the basement.

Notice the sewage water in the before picture, this was really substantial. They had immediately called SERVPRO of South Springfield/Agawam to get the sewage cleaned up. We reacted quickly with the mitigation service.  After the thorough cleanup we set up drying equipment in the area to control the moisture in the environment. We had to also clean the affected area with the appropriate agents to address both sewage and grease issues.  The business owner was not equipped to deal with this but SERVPRO got the job done.
