Fire Damage to home beams.

Fire mitigation after a home has been cleared for entry can be a long process. Before you can re-enter the home after a fire the fire department has to clear the building to make sure that it is structurally safe. Once the home is deemed safe, a licensed electrician should thoroughly inspect the electrical system to determine if the electricity is safe to use.  Temporary heat and electricity can be used to get necessary work started in the meantime. Once all the preliminary work is completed, the actual clean up begins. Pictured on the left is a beam that had severe charring due to the fire.
